Bedford Joyner 1873-1973 postal card balance collection/exhibit, several hundred mint/unused/used cards between #UX1/UX65, UY1/UY22, UXC1/UXC20 neatly mounted and written up on blank pages. Many better items are located within such as mint #UX13, UX21, UY5, UY10, UY15, unused UX1, UX3, UX47 and used #UX4. In addition there is a nice section of 1952 press printed surcharge errors including U.P.S.S. #S56-3f, S57f, S57i (all mint) and unused (with c.c.) #S57f as a single and a rare block of four. Lastly there are some nice foreign destinations and advertising such as a 1952 Eisenhower/Nixon campaign card, apparently free of flaws with the vast majority Very Fine, please allow some time to view.

Centennial Expo., Arizona and N.M. territories, W. Gardner and Worchester, Mass. shields, etc. Vast majority are fresh and Very Fine, allow some time to carefully estimate this valuable collection.

Bedford Joyner 1886 1¢ Jefferson postal card award winning collection/exhibit, approximately 800 mostly used #UX9 mainly mounted and written up on blank pages. Loaded with better items such as an excellent group of proof (clean face, back with large printed ornate "O.K." Department. inspector’s approval?), trial color proofs (11 different) and two each different Specimen’s and "bursting strength" cards. Among the used are many paper/plate varieties, coated cards, illustrated advertising, territorial usages, foreign destinations and a wide range of cancels and auxiliary markings. While the overall condition is F-VF with no glaring faulty seen, inspection is suggested. An excellent lot for a specialist or dealer.

Bedford Joyner 1914 1¢ Jefferson postal card collection/exhibit, many thousands of mint/used #UX27 neatly mounted and written up on blank pages in what may be seven overlapping collections as well as eight filled shoe/granite boxes. There is a wide range of areas represented here from all five U.P.S.S. listed press printings (including the scarce Flat Bed #573c) with very nice sections of paper/plate varieties/flaws, cancels/auxiliaries, printed and illustrated advertising, bank check usages, foreign destinations, WWII censor markings plus airmail/special delivery/postage due usages. Also spotted were some pioneer airmail flights (A.A.M.C. #88/$350), a gorgeous 1947 card sent and returned from China with a block of six Chinese postage dues and a large rerouting slip affixed to the face, a 1922 Cuero, Texas "Running Turkey" registry usages, precancels, territorials, many WWI "War Tax" rate a.a.’s, etc., etc. Overall condition is F-VF, allow plenty of time to properly view and evaluate this lifelong collection.

Many better items are located here including illustrated advertising, 30 #UX10 Columbian Expo (mostly mint from the better set 7), U.S. Possessions, Leavitt machine cancels, nine Portola, CA "surcharges" as well as 25 mint "Rose" cards #UX44f (cat. value $2,500). Lastly there is a group of 80+ mostly mint better cards, including #UX1 (2) and UX3 (15) with mainly minor flaws that has a catalogue value of about $5,500. An excellent lot for a collector or dealer alike that (other than the afore mentioned defective group) is generally in Very Fine condition throughout.

1879-1963 U.S. International postal cards used to Germany, group of 65 cards between #UX16/UX49, UY2/UY19m all used to various towns and cities. Apparently all with receiving strikes with the vast majority on the face. Better items are included here such as three #UX13 plus #UX45, UX49 and UY19. In addition, there is another group of 130 regular cards between #UX6/UX39a with (except for a few short paids) ½¢-3¢ adhesives added including many with Banknote issues as well as 1¢ Commemoratives. Some faults, as to be expected due to their usage, but still generally a F-VF lot with the first group alone cataloging over $1,600. Excellent material for retail or eBay sales.

1920 2¢ Die II postal card surcharge freaks, accumulation of 40 mint #UX33 including various city types with freak surcharges such as surcharge to left off of indicia (13), doubles with one to left (9), no surcharge on face but printed on back— two of which are also inverted (4), doubles with one being on reverse— nine of which are also inverted and three of those being New York combinations #S45-28, 29 (11), and perhaps the most striking group of surcharges shifted to left or bottom and tilted sideways or diagonally (3). All are fresh and Very Fine with the majority having small pencil identifications on back. An excellent lot for specialist or dealer alike.
